A disposable diaper, comprising: a topsheet comprising a first nonwoven web, wherein the topsheet has a basis weight greater than 25 gsm, determined according to the Basis Weight Test as disclosed herein, and wherein the first nonwoven web has a compression loft of at least 30%, determined according to the Compression Loft Test as disclosed herein; a backsheet comprising a second nonwoven web and a film, wherein the film has a WVTR value of less than 6,500 g/m2 day, determined according to the WVTR Test as disclosed herein; an absorbent core comprising an absorbent particulate polymer material disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, wherein the absorbent core is substantially cellulose free; wherein the disposable diaper has a relative humidity of less than 74%, after insults of a synthetic urine solution are applied to the diaper, determined according to the Humidity Test as disclosed herein.
